A rebuild can avoid buying another core where the original is recoverable. An exchange engine may reduce downtime. A used unit may reduce initial spend. A reconditioned unit may provide longer qualifying cover. The saving comes from matching the route to the van’s condition, expected future use and total completed cost—not automatically selecting one category.
For a working van, days off the road can matter as much as the engine invoice. Many eligible jobs are completed within up to five working days from arrival, but a genuine rebuild, unusual compatibility requirement or additional damage may take longer.
